Autside Supports Autistic Community With the Power of Outdoor Play
Dallas-based outdoor games company raises awareness and provides support for autistic community through partnerships with local nonprofits
DALLAS – (March 30, 2023) – Autside, a Dallas-based company that provides premium-quality outdoor games and accessories, is proud to kick off Autism Awareness Month this April with a spotlight on its long-standing nonprofit partnerships and ongoing support of the autism community. This company is leading the charge this month and beyond with its continued donations and sponsorships to three key organizations at both state and national levels in honor of individuals with autism and their families.
Since its launch, Autside has designated a portion of all sales of its outdoor games and activities to supporting the autism community. In 2022, its first full year of operation, Autside donated more than $10,000 to its partners and supported several community events, including fundraisers for the Young Life Capernaum’s Kitchen Classic pickleball tournament, 5K races supporting autism and more. This April and beyond, Autside will continue giving back with ongoing contributions of financial support, events and other sponsorships.
“As the father of a child diagnosed with autism, I understand the importance of building community and creating safe spaces for your child,” said Glen Collins, founder and CEO of Autside. “I’m proud to support the missions of each of our partners, which offer crucial resources to autistic individuals, from financial support and education to physical activity and social connections.”
Autside strives to partner with nonprofit organizations that support communities of autistic and other disabled individuals on all levels of need. The company’s primary partners include:
- To Be Like Me, a Dallas-based nonprofit offering disability awareness education for students and teachers led by people living with disabilities. These courses are designed to foster compassion for people with differences and equip communities to be more inclusive.
- ACEing Autism, a national organization helping children with autism grow and benefit from social connections and fitness through affordable tennis programming, uniquely serving individual needs while filling a national void for the autistic community.
- Imagine A Way, a Houston-based nonprofit serving children with autism and their families across Texas through financial support and a network of resources and information.
Autside designs, manufactures and licenses products that foster community, camaraderie and inclusivity through outdoor activity. Throughout Autism Awareness Month, Autside will be offering its products for an additional 15% off.
